The owner of this historic Chicago bungalow located in Portage Park retained Liska Architects to develop a plan to restore his home to the original craftsman style. The project included renovating the kitchen with period appropriate cabinetry and finishes as well as providing additional storage and workspace. The renovated first floor bathroom restored the original window to provide natural daylight and ventilation. A complete renovation of the second floor incorporated built-in storage to use the space under the sloping roof efficiently and reconstructed the existing deteriorating dormer to create a bathroom that is bright and spacious.
