The owners of this historic bungalow located in Lancaster, Wisconsin wanted a historically appropriate update for their aluminum clad home. Liska Architects worked with them to create a design to update the front porch based on elements often used for craftsman style bungalows, developed a historic paint color palette and assisted with the selection of exterior materials. Liska Architects also developed a plan to landscape the yard that incorporated native plants and permeable paving to reduce water usage and runoff. The design included space for their vegetable garden, a patio and an herb garden close to the kitchen for easy access.
