As a Project Architect for BauerLatoza Studio, Julie Liska of Liska Architects led a team in exploring the feasibility of restoring The Three Arts Club, a Historic Landmarked property located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood for the Soho House, a private members club and hotel chain based in London and developed internationally by Nick Jones. This Chicago location of Soho House was to be developed in the historic art school and boarding house for young women and intended to celebrate the history of the property by preserving the original dining hall, courtyard and performance stage while converting the art studios and dormitories to luxury guest rooms, film screening rooms and spa facilities. A pool feature with terrace and solarium was added to the rooftop structure as a retreat for guests to this unique property.
