As Project Architect for BauerLatoza Studio, Julie Liska designed this community center to be located west of Chicago’s Loop.  The new facility was to be located on the same block as the existing Phoenix Military Academy educational facility and share the new gymnasium and pool with the school. The design also included space for daycare services, community meeting rooms, classrooms for art and computer education,administration offices, recreational areas including racquetball courts and space for community services including CHA Housing offices and a post office.
